DENVER, COLO. (March 14, 2014) – 3d Lacrosse, the nation’s fastest-growing youth lacrosse training and events company, has acquired Triple Threat Lax, a girls youth club based in Pleasanton, and TNT Lacrosse, an indoor box league and training program in metro San Diego. In sum, 3d Lacrosse will now offer itsBox/Field Hybrid Development System to an additional 800+ players and families in the Golden State.

3d Lacrosse Girls Division Expands Northwards
The 3d Lacrosse Girls Division, with extensive Southern California operations based in the San Diego metro area, now reaches north where the Company has had a major presence in the boys’ game since 2008 through its California® Gold showcase events and Be The Best Camps, both supervised by Pete Worstell, 3d Lacrosse’s EVP of Sales and Business Development.

Alison Connolly, Director of 3d Lacrosse Girls Division said, “We have been looking for the ideal northern California candidate to partner with to expand our instructional philosophy. With its committed families, players, and coaches, we are confident that Triple Threat Lax exceeds our expectations to apply and blend new teaching methods towards developing the best players in the country.”

Founded in 2006, Triple Threat has been recognized for its outstanding instruction, small player-to-coach ratios and the development of leaders both on and off the field onto which 3d Lacrosse will now overlay its professional resources, infrastructure and training methodology.

3d NorCal Girls will be managed by Megan Miller, a University of California-Davis NCAA Division I standout whose domestic and international coaching history includes stints at UC-Davis, California High School (San Ramon), Pipers Corner School in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (UK) and, currently at her alma mater, Foothill High School.

3d Lacrosse’s Girls Division has experienced unprecedented growth in the last 18 months, including new and expanding offices, operations, leagues, camps, clinics and events in Colorado, New England and Southern California.

3d Lacrosse Boys in San Diego/Orange County
For boys in the San Diego metro area, the Box Lacrosse clinics and leagues formerly owned and operated by TNT Lacrosse will now be folded into 3d Lacrosse’s larger professional organization through its San Diego-based operations.

Instruction will continue at the beautiful Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, where 3d Lacrosse’s Box/Field Hybrid Methodology will mix with the pure Box game to improve skills both in the ring and on the field. 3d Lacrosse programs at the YMCA enroll boys in grades K – 12 with a Co-Ed “Introduction to Lacrosse” for grades K–5.

3d Lacrosse Manager Brad Reppert will lead all lacrosse programs at the YMCA. A Towson University graduate and former professional player with the Anaheim Storm (NLL) and the San Francisco Dragons and LA Riptide (MLL), recent coaching assignments have included top roles at Whittier College, Santa Margarita Catholic High School, Los Alamitos High School, and Poway High School where 3d Lacrosse’s Southern California Director Zach Burke now serves as Varsity Boys head coach.

3d Lacrosse programs at the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA join the Company’s well-established high school, clinics, and Select team operations in Orange County and Southern California which serve more than 2,000 players and families.

Other New California Programs
3d Lacrosse recently announced new California-based programs including an Adventure Series Camp which will mix lacrosse and surfing instruction and events such as the twice-annual Oceanside Hustle (beginning December 2014 and June 2015, grades 4 – 12).

And, as in past years, the state’s most accomplished players will continue to enjoy the California Gold showcase and Be the Best camps (June 7 – 8 in San Jose and June 17 – 18 in San Rafael).
