Former Penn State All American Dave Daniecki Has Transformed Into An MMA Powerhouse

Dave “TNT” Daniecki has always loved being the enforcer. The ’97 Penn State grad once said, “Early on in the game I look for a couple big hits that put fear into the other team.” He concluded, “It lets them know that if they expect to catch the ball they’re going to get hit.” Daniecki, who majored in Civil Engineering, took his role as enforcer more than a step further by becoming an MMA fighter.

The PSU captain and Loyola Blakefield grad, Daniecki, used to cover the opposing team’s top attackman such as Princeton’s Jesse Hubbard. Daniecki weighs in at 190lbs and stands 6ft tall. He currently has a 3-1 record. He has won by a TKO, submission and a decision. His next fight takes place at the First Mariner Center in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 8. Below is a tailer for the event, Shogun V.

He’s one heck of an athlete, once an All American and a Baltimore Bayhawk, now a MMA contender. We’re looking forward to hearing more about Dave Daniecki and will continue to keep you posted. If you know any other lacrosse players that currently compete in MMA please email us at [email protected].

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
