John Lade Joins Centenary as Assistant Coach

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (January 6, 2012) – Centenary College has added former three-time All-American John Lade from Syracuse University to their coaching staff for the 2012 season as a volunteer assistant coach.

Lade was a three year starting defender for Syracuse from 2009-2011 where he received All-American status each year, including two First-Team honors in 2010 and 2011. With the Orange, Lade was named the 2011 NCAA Division I Defensemen of the Year and was a member of the Division I National Championship Team in 2009.

Aside from playing in college, Lade was also a member of the U-19 Men’s U.S.A. Lacrosse Team that won the gold medal at the ILF World Championship in Vancouver, Canada in 2008. Lade also has experience coaching for youth/young adult lacrosse programs around New Jersey and even experience working for LB3 Lacrosse Program in Atlanta, Georgia.

The former champion looks to bring his skills and experience to the Cyclones staff as Head Coach Matt Klank is very excited to have Lade aboard: “We are thrilled to add John to our staff. John will provide our players with a wealth of experience when it comes to individual and team defense.”

More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling.
