First Ever Women’s Lacrosse Player Commits to Four Year College

The Genesee Community College women’s lacrosse program is pleased to announce that the first player in school history has committed to play at a four year college.

Mikela Caseria (Mililani, HI) has committed to play lacrosse at Aquinas College, a four year Division II school in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Caseria played two full seasons for the Lady Cougars in the spring of 2010 and 2011 and will remain in the Genesee history books, scoring the first ever goal in the history of the women’s lacrosse program. Last season, Caseria had seven goals, six caused turnovers, 22 ground balls, two interceptions and 12 draw controls in nine games.

Mikela will play for third year head coach Frank Rodgers at Aquinas, who are members of the National Women’s Lacrosse League (NWLL). The Lady Saints will open their schedule on March 5th when they travel to Birmingham, Alabama to play Birmingham Southern.
