Kansas State’s Strong Lacrosse Program Seeks Lacrosse Coach

The Kansas State Lacrosse team was founded in 1989, and they pride themselves on hard work and tradition, and maintain a strong relationship with the men of the 1st Infantry Division out of nearby Fort Riley. The “Big Red One” has given their program countless leaders, mentors, and friends, most notably the first head coach, Donnie Tillar, who gave his life on the final day of the First Gulf War. He meant the world to the team, the program, and to those who knew him. In honor of Donnie and all the men of the 1st Infantry Division, the team wears the patch of the “Big Red One” on every uniform.

Today, the team competes in the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference of the MCLA. In the team’s 23rd year, they remain focused and enthusiastic about the future in an area where the sport has a lot to grow. Now, they need a new leader to take the reigns for the 2013 season. Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
