Brian Fraze: Lax Goalie To Rising Hip Hop Star

Do you love good humor, good music, and lacrosse? Of course you do and that is why you are bound to love Brian Fraze! The 23 year old Chicago native has been playing lacrosse since he was 11 and continued to play a full 4 years as the goalie at the University of Kansas. Not only is Fraze a talented lacrosse player, he is triple threat with skills in the music and video biz. Fraze states:

I was always that kid throwing little videos together or writing my own scripts/lyrics and performing when I was just in elementary school.

You may recognize him from his first YouTube video, “Lax Bro: Life as a Goalie” which received over seven thousand views.

After the great success of his first video, Fraze stepped up his game with his second YouTube success, “Lax Bro: Laxico”.

Laxico received close to 13,000 views and had me laughing through out the whole video. Additionally, he is also having some serious success in the music department. Currently Fraze has about 15 songs out (http://www.reverbnation.com/brianfraze/songs) and after listening to them ALL my personal favorites are New Dayz, North Ave., and Whistle (ReFraze’d). Very soon Fraze will be hitting quite the success mark in his career by having his first song, “Feet Up (feat. Jai Wil)” hit iTunes in mid March. He describes the new tune, “It’s a track that you can crank up and jam to at any kind of pre-game (party or sports). The beat absolutely bumps and think its going to blow people away. It’s all about striving for your goal and rising above hate. My dude Jai Wil straight kills it on the hook too.”

Interested in seeing Fraze live? He will be performing Friday, April 12 at Goose Island Wrigleyville, 9-9:30 p.m., tickets will be $8 at the door. Regarding his future which is sure to be bright, Fraze states, “Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you I’m my own biggest critic, but I think people are going to dig this new stuff I’ve been working on—really trying to display my versatility as an artist vocally/lyrically so I’ve got high hopes.”

We’ve got high hopes for you as well, good luck!

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
