Video Highlights: Loyola Comes Back to Defeat Boys' Latin and its Perfect Record

The 2013 MIAA Championship game this past weekend is a tale of David versus Goliath. Boys’ Latin, our Goliath, entered the game with a perfect 19-0 record. David, or Loyola, entered with a record of 10-8. Teams who play in the MIAA, which is arguably the best high school lacrosse conference in the country, annually beat each other up and often have records similar to Loyola’s. However, the Boys’ Latin Lakers demolished every single team in its path.

Could the 2013 team be better than BL’s ’97 team? It appeared so as the Lakers got off to an early 6-0 start. Eventually, though, the Dons rolled with the punches and were able to escape with a 10-9 victory. BTW, the Lakers have 24 players committed to play Division 1.
