German Women's National Lacrosse Team Needs Your Help

Help by clicking here!

The Women’s Lacrosse World Championship is coming up this month in Canada. It will be the biggest ever with around 19 countries participating. Team Germany is one of the teams making the long trek across the Atlantic. Unfortunately, lacrosse isn’t as well established in Germany as in the US and the team of 18 players has to undertake all of their own costs, as well as the costs of the six coaches and staff members who all work on a volunteer basis. Each player is expected to spend 6,000 Euros, or $7500, just for the trip alone. Please help these girls reach their dream of playing in a World Championship and help offset some of the costs by watching their crowdfunding video, http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-the-german-women-s-national-lacrosse-team/x/2275606.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
