CSE Announces Partnership with ThunderBay

Elkridge, MD (July 17, 2013)—Sports marketing and event management firm Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced a three-year deal with ThunderBay for the apparel provider to serve as the presenting sponsor for four of the high school lacrosse tournaments CSE owns or operates. ThunderBay 1636 will unveil its Women’s Dragonfly line at this weekend’s Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Capital Cup at the River City Sportsplex in Midlothian, Virginia.

ThunderBay 1636 will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the IWLCA President’s Cup (November, Orlando, Florida) along with two boys tournaments in November (Rumble in Richmond, Midlothian; STX Paradise Shootout, Naples, Florida).

Lee Corrigan, CSE President, said, “We know the lacrosse community will appreciate ThunderBay 1636’s quality apparel along with the company’s respect for the sport’s heritage. Our tournaments attract our nation’s top players and coaches, so it’s only appropriate to offer them classy, superior merchandise.”

Drew Clark, CEO of ThunderBay 1636, stated, “At ThunderBay we believe clothes make more than a fashion statement, we believe they make a statement about who you are. That they stand for what is inside you, what you’re about. ThunderBay is about lacrosse. This sport was part of our country before the U.S. was a country. It was played by the original American athlete, and we’re inspired by the example of this Native American competitor all these years later. We believe in lacrosse, we believe in the lessons it teaches us. Our clothes and our company represent this sport and these values.”

This 2013 IWLCA Capital Cup will feature 263 teams and be contested July 19-21 at. Online registration for the tournament sold out in 13 minutes in November of last year
