Adrenaline Maverik United has acquired Shamel and Rhamel Bratton from Team STX, a deal the two teams have been discussing since early June. The former University of Virginia All-American midfielders will round out Maverik United’s offensive unit and introduce their electric style of play to an already explosive attack. Both Shamel and Rhamel have been on point delivering big games in Orange County and Del Mar. Shamel has put up a combined seven goals and two assists at the first two events and Rhamel will continue to be an initiator on offense and a classic two way threat. The Brattons will join a veteran Maverik United midfield unit of former collegiate All Americans such as Navy great, Graham Gill, former Syracuse standout, Sean Lindsay, and former Notre Dame star, Zach Brennemen.

“Both Shamel and Rhamel have been great ambassadors for LXM,” says Jeff Burroughs, coach of Maverik United. “Their dynamic play and commitment will be a very welcome addition to the Maverik United team.”

Meanwhile, Team STX has signed newcomer Davey Emala, recent UNC goal scorer. In his first two years of collegiate play, Davey was a starter for the Georgetown Hoyas, earning himself second team All- Big East and lead the team in scoring with 48 points in his sophomore year. Emala finished his last two years of eligibility at the University of North Carolina where his competitive nature thrived at the chance to compete for a National Championship title both years. Emala is a consistent player with a great shot and phenomenal Lacrosse IQ, always finding the most advantageous pockets on the field. He will add a fresh and unique look to the Team STX midfield line, alongside former Blue Jay and Tewaaraton Award winner, Kyle Harrison, 2x All American Salisbury Alum, Sam Bradman, and UNC’s Most Outstanding Player honoree, Sean Delaney.

“We’re excited to bring a guy like Davey Emala on board because he adds a different dynamic to our offense,” says Kyle Harrison. “We’ve got a lot of dodgers on our team and Davey is a guy who doesn’t need the ball in his stick a ton to be successful. He makes a lot of plays catching and finishing, being in the right place at the right time, and making good decisions with the ball in order for the offense to be successful.”

STX also recently announced that it renewed and expanded its agreement with Adrenaline and LXM PRO as a premium sponsor. STX provides custom lacrosse equipment including gloves, heads and handles for Adrenaline events, leagues and club programs.
