US Lacrosse Launches Redesigned USLacrosse.org Site

BALTIMORE, Sept. 4, 2013 — US Lacrosse today launched a redesigned website at USLacrosse.org. The online home of lacrosse’s national governing body was used in the last 12 months by 1.4 million unique visitors, including the organization’s 410,000 members, for educational content, rules, membership benefits and more information about the nation’s fastest-growing sport.

The new homepage features a mega-menu navigation bar that allows all lacrosse constituents quicker access to the content they desire. The top of every page features a drop-down menu with direct links to US Lacrosse’s other three web properties: LaxMagazine.com, a lacrosse media site that complements the printed Lacrosse Magazine, USLaxTeams.com, a robust team, league and season management site used by coaches and administrators at virtually all levels of play, and worldlacrosse2014.com, official site for the US Lacrosse-hosted 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse Men’s World Championships in Denver.

“We wanted to enhance USLacrosse.org to better share the US Lacrosse story, to make it simpler to navigate and to improve the experience of all visitors to our site,” said Brian Logue, director of communications at US Lacrosse. “We spent several months analyzing data on how users interact with USLacrosse.org and inputting current industry best practices into the upgrade.”

Other highlights of the new site include a cleaner look, a multimedia center for all lacrosse-related videos and presentations, and an organizational blog. Explore the new site at USLacrosse.org, including the inaugural blog with more highlights of the site .

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
