STX Announces Finalists For 2nd Annual STXtreme Internship Contest

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, announced today five finalists for the STXtreme Internship Contest, a search for an undergraduate intern to work with the STX Marketing Department for the Spring 2014 semester.

STX received entries from students representing Towson University, Loyola University, Stevenson University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, McDaniel College and the University of Baltimore.

To apply, students were required to submit a video under 60 seconds explaining why they wanted to work at STX and what makes them “Equipped to Perform.” Applicants posted their videos to STX’s Facebook page and recruited fans through their social networks to vote for their video.

“This competition gives us a unique way to judge student’s passion, personality and social networking skills, things you can’t tell on a resume,” said Marketing Director Ed Saunders. “The videos showcased promising students and we expect to find an outstanding intern among the five finalists.”

Kate Goldstein is a Senior at McDaniel College working towards her Business Administration degree with a minor in Sports Management. She is a member of her class council and a Green Terror women’s lacrosse team member. Last fall, she studied abroad in Budapest, Hungary.
