BRADENTON, Fla. (November 15, 2013) – IMG Nationals, a lacrosse national championship series, is gearing up for its inaugural season-ending event at IMG Academy, Nov. 23-24, 2013. Elite teams from all across North America will contend for the U15, U17 and U19 national titles.
Ten states and Canada are represented among the teams who have qualified for this national event. Featured teams include: Thunder Tribe (Six Nations Iroquois Tribe, Ontario, Canada/U17); Team Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minn./U15); Blackjack Elite (Columbus, Ohio/U17); Team Louisiana (Mandeville, La./U19); Augusta Patriots (Augusta, Ga./U19); and Ponte Vedra Possums (Ponte Vedra, Fla./U17, U19).
The IMG Nationals will host dozens of college coaches from top programs around the nation, including the likes of Rutgers, Marquette, Wagner University, Jacksonville University, Arcadia University, McGill University (Canada), Florida Southern, and Rensselaer Polytechnic, providing a unique opportunity for exposure. The event will also feature live internet streaming from inside IMG Academy Stadium, a state-of-the-art, 5,000-seat facility that opened in August 2013.
IMG Academy sponsors such as Gatorade will support the event with the latest in sports performance fuel and products. The event will also give participants the chance to create a free recruiting profile on beRecruited.com, the number one network allowing players to connect with thousands of college coaches. Participants may have their games filmed and star in their own edited highlight film by CaptainU. ALINE Systems will provide all participants with free ALINEment analysis on site.
Each divisional winner of the IMG Nationals will not only be crowned national champions, but will also receive a free week of lacrosse training at IMG Academy.
The event is open to the public, and parking and admission is free.
