US Lacrosse Partners With ArbiterSports and NFHS to Host a Central Lacrosse Hub

BALTIMORE, Dec. 10, 2013 — US Lacrosse today announced its partnership with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and ArbiterSports, a game management solutions provider that streamlines the process of coordinating games, assigning officials, and paying participants. A one-year partnership has been signed with anticipation of annual renewal.

US Lacrosse will host its Officials Education Program training content for officials on a new US Lacrosse Central Hub, powered by ArbiterSports and will populate and manage the content of the high school lacrosse central hub, owned by the NFHS. Content will include videos, checklists, webinars, articles and more.

Additionally, US Lacrosse has partnered with ArbiterSports to deliver information about officials’ US Lacrosse membership and certification status to assigners. This gives assigners the ability to easily identify and schedule current US Lacrosse-certified officials to games.

“We are excited to partner with the NFHS and ArbiterSports, and have the opportunity to deliver our educational resources to all NFHS and US Lacrosse officials through the lacrosse-specific central hubs,” said Erin Smith, US Lacrosse director of education and training. “Furthermore, the access for assigners to view officials’ membership and certification status is a huge bonus to that group. Because assigners can easily identify which officials have US Lacrosse membership and certification, they can rest easier knowing the people working their games are adequately insured and have gone through the proper training.”

“ArbiterSports understands the importance of providing quality educational material for officials because it leads to a better game experience for all participants,” said Jeff Triplette, ArbiterSports CEO. “We recognize the quality educational material coming out of US Lacrosse and its Officials Education Program and are excited to bring them on board to maintain our lacrosse-specific central hub. We are excited to continue to grow in this partnership with US Lacrosse.”

“The NFHS is pleased to make available to all high school lacrosse officials the outstanding educational resources from US Lacrosse,” said Bob Gardner, NFHS executive director. “We believe this partnership enhances our ability to serve our officials in a very meaningful way. We look forward to our continued association with US Lacrosse for the good of the game.”

“This collaboration will expand the resources available to lacrosse officials and streamline the process of accessing those resources,” said Kent Summer, NFHS director of performing arts and sports. “We are enthusiastic about this partnership as it will broaden the audience for the many educational assets available from all three organizations.”

For membership status to properly display for assigners, officials need to make sure the email address they provide to assigners and to US Lacrosse is the same. If the email address is not the same for both accounts, officials should edit the email address in their US Lacrosse account settings at uslacrosse.org/MyAccount.

The US Lacrosse Central Hub and the delivery of US Lacrosse membership status to assigners are expected to be ready for the 2014 spring lacrosse season.
