Rabil will continue to actively create awareness to advance the purpose of this major philanthropic effort. The mission of the PRF is to help children across the country, especially those with learning differences, realize their full potential by supporting programs and partnerships that advance their lives and opportunities through athletics.

Dedicated to providing opportunities to dyslexic children, the PRF partners with The Lab School of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, as well as The Jemicy School in Baltimore. In 2011, The PRF fully equipped and launched the first mens and womens varsity lacrosse program at the Lab School in Washington DC. Since then, the PRF has raised over 15 micro grant scholarships, dedicated to students seeking financial aid to attend one of these three schools. Jean Anne Rabil, PRF Executive Director, says “through the Foundation, we will be able to make a huge difference in a child’s life every year. For those that have struggled, there is hope in achieving their dreams.”

Dyslexia is a reading disability that occurs when the brain does not properly recognize and process certain symbols. It is the most common form of reading, writing, and spelling difficulties. Dyslexia is a syndrome of varied symptoms affecting over 40 million people in the United States. “I grew up with learning differences. Along with many people with which I am very close, we continue to overcome these challenges each day,” says Paul Rabil.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
