Warrior To Serve As Title Sponsor Of NSCLA National Cup

Elkridge, MD (February 3, 2014)–The National Scholastic Club Lacrosse Association (NSCLA) and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today Warrior Sports will serve as the title sponsor for the NSCLA National Cup. The top summer club team tournament in the country will be contested June 14-15 at the River City Sportsplex inMidlothian, Virginia.

The NSCLA boasts some of the most impressive member clubs and athletes in the nation, so our partnership is a natural fit.”

The Warrior NSCLA National Cup features the top 2015, 2016 and 2017 teams from the NSCLA member programs. This gathering of the best club teams features a playoff format to crown the elite club in each of the graduation years. Team registration is open to member teams only.

In conjunction with the National Cup, the Warrior Select Showcase will take place on the evening of Friday, June 13th and feature uncommitted players from each program in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 graduation classes. Four teams will compete in the 2016 and 2017 classes and two teams in 2015. These players will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the 100+ college coaches in attendance.

Showcase players are nominated by their particular clubs and programs. Each Showcase participant will receive a custom practice jersey, shorts, and shoes from Warrior.

“Warrior’s commitment empowers us to host a first-class event where elite players compete on the sport’s biggest stage,” said Trevor Tierney, NSCLA President. “Between Friday’s Showcase and the tournament itself, the future stars of the game have a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable experience and display their skills in front of college coaches.”

CSE is a major force in the lacrosse world as the owners and operators of the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, one of the sport’s premiere events. The Baltimore area sports marketing and event management firm is also the exclusive event partner of the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and has a strategic partnership with the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA).
