The 7th Annual Patriot Games Youth Lacrosse Showcase, powered by Adrenaline, will be held July 19-20, 2014 at venues in the heart of beautiful and historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania — a convenient location at the crossroads of major lacrosse hotbeds, including Maryland, New England, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The event attracts the top boys’ club teams looking to test themselves against a diverse field of elite programs from other regions. Attending teams hail from traditional hotbeds on the East Coast as well as talented contingents from Canada and emerging areas, often including California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
In 2013, the Patriot Games featured 214 teams from 13 states and Ontario, and was staged at four host sites on 27 fields in total. The Patriot Games has been selected by NDP Lacrosse as an “Approved Qualifying Event” for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions, which will take place outside of Tampa in January 2015. Top finishing teams in selected divisions will earn bids to join other top club teams from around the nation to compete in the high profile, national championship event.
Brackets will be organized by graduation year. For the high school level, teams not organized by grad year will be placed in the most appropriate bracket. To encourage fair play, teams in each age group will be recognized for sportsmanship based largely on sportsmanship scorecards kept by certified officials and site marshals after each game, taking into account the spirit of the game and conduct on players on both sides of the field and their respective parents, fans and other spectators.
Between games players can stop by the Adrenaline Feel-IT Factory to play games to win prizes, shop at the Adrenaline Retail tent where the Spring/Summer line will be on sale, and peruse other tents in the Vendor Village.
