Alcatraz Outlaws Finish Strong At 2014 Tahoe Lacrosse Summit Classic

The Alcatraz Outlaws took to the 2014 Tahoe Lacrosse Summit Classic and finished strong. Wearing lacrosse pinnies designed by Encore, the Outlaws definitely looked good while competing tough. Below is a photo gallery from the event with a tourney recap.

The finals was a rematch of their fist game vs the CO Wild. Outlaws controlled the opening face-off and remained in control throughout the game. The goalie play on both sides was impressive and kept the game from a high scoring affair. Late in the first half the Outlaws were stoned on the doorstop and a wonderful transition goal by the wild got the game to 4-2 (in favor of the Outlaws) but it never got closer. The youngsters on both sides were exhausted but battled throughout a very spirited and competitive game. Tough ground ball play, stout defense and transition lacrosse were on display. The 6-3 final doesn’t do the game justice as both sides scrapped and battled for every loose ball. In the end the Outlaws prevailed and both sides left the game having left it all on the field.
