SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 29, 2014 – TRX®, the industry leader in functional training and creator of Suspension Training® and Rip® Training has announced today the signing of US Men’s National Team member and Major League Lacrosse (MLL) superstar Paul Rabil. Through the partnership, Paul and TRX will create lacrosse-specific training programs for amateur and professional lacrosse players of all levels.

A longtime user of TRX products, Rabil joins fellow lacrosse star, Peter Baum, on the roster of TRX-sponsored athletes as the training company continues to develop its TRX® Rip® Lacrosse Training program, which is designed specifically for the needs of lacrosse players and is targeted towards youth, high school, college and pro-level players.

TRX® has partnered with the two leading lacrosse stars to continue to help develop the fast-growing sport and to provide youth athletes tools to increase rotational power, total body agility and left/right balance for peak on-field performance.

“TRX® is excited to add Paul to our roster of athletes”, says TRX® CEO and founder Randy Hetrick. “He embodies the make-up we look for in TRX athletes with his passion and drive to training for greatness. With Paul’s signing, we are continuing our commitment to lacrosse athletes.”

Rabil, a Johns Hopkins University alum, was the first overall pick in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft and has since been a perennial MLL and NLL All-Star while also earning MVP honors three times and Offensive Player of the Year another three times in his professional career. Just like other TRX athletes,
Paul had used “the straps” in his training long before signing on with the company, citing his first experience with them coming shortly after being drafted in 2008. Rabil, who is known for his work ethic and generosity on and off the field, and TRX are deeply invested in the development of the sport of lacrosse.

“I’ve been using the TRX Suspension Trainer for my entire professional career and discovered the Rip trainer while using it to rehabilitate my core after a 2013 surgery,” said Rabil. “I was thrilled when TRX approached me because no matter what the day’s training has in store, ther products are always a part of my routine. As a brand, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to the sport of lacrosse, so a partnership made perfect sense.”

TRX® Rip® Training was originally created to meet the needs of combat sport athletes and physical therapists. Rip® Training variable resistance exercise is a multi-faceted approach to strength and cardiovascular conditioning that challenges you in all three planes of motion every rep, every set, every workout. The TRX® Rip Lacrosse Training Program is the perfect tool for Lacrosse athletes looking to take their game to the next level.
