Ales Hřebeský Memorial Box Lacrosse Tournament

As part of its ongoing commitment to help foster the growth of lacrosse outside of North America, 1 Lacrosse, the premier manufacturer of custom lacrosse shafts, is pleased to announce it will sponsor the Cherokees Box team from Vienna, Austria, at the 2010 Ales Hřebeský Memorial Box Lacrosse Tournament in Prague.

The Ales Hřebeský Memorial Box Lacrosse Tournament, played annually for the past 17 years, is held in honor of a local player who was struck and killed by a drunk driver while standing at a bus stop in 1993. The tournament is one of the most popular lacrosse events in Europe and attracts 16 teams from all across Europe, the US and Canada.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.

This is by far the best tournament in Europe. One field, Kielbasa & Beer shack, Parties, Cheap accommodations and teams from around the world. Loads of fun.
