Alison Fisher Inks 11 Newcomers to Lafayette Women’s Lacrosse Class of 2016

EASTON, Pa. – Head coach Alison Fisher has announced the addition of 11 newcomers to the Lafayette women’s lacrosse program as part of the Class of 2016. Seven of the 11 incoming student-athletes are Pennsylvania natives, while the others come to College Hill from Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Virginia.

Charlotte Avallone (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset): Earned three varsity letters in lacrosse…served as captain of the soccer team and was a four-year letterwinner…member of the track team for one season…held a position on the Student Government and played in the high school orchestra.

Brooke Callahan (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin): Four-year varsity letterwinner…First Team All-League selection as a sophomore and junior on attack…helped her team to American Conference championships all four years…three-year varsity letterwinner in field hockey…Third Team All-League selection twice…Academic All-American and team captain as a senior…was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Government Association…Honor Roll student.

Katie Denning (McMurry, Pa./Peters Township): Three-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse…served as captain during her junior season…WPOAL Division I All-Star…All-WPIAL Team One…2011 U.S. Lacrosse First Team All-American…U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American…helped her team to the 2011 WPIAL Co-Section Championship in 2011 and a WPIAL Championship in 2009…played club lacrosse for Xteam and Intrepid Club Lacrosse…played two years of varsity field hockey…Academic High Honor Roll student…National Honor Society member…served on student council.

Melissa Galione (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield): Played lacrosse and field hockey all four years…served as team captain for both teams…Academic All-American…earned All-FCIAC honors in lacrosse and field hockey…member of the National Honor Society and the National Charity League.

Kaitlin Letter (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School): Played four years of lacrosse…member of the Virginia National team as a sophomore…selected to try out for U-19 U.S. Women’s lacrosse team…played varsity field hockey for two years and varsity squash for one year…National Spanish Exam High-Honors…selected to represent Collegiate at the Youth Congress of the Americas.

Veronica Lloyd (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area): Served as captain junior and senior year…First Team All-Berks County during freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons…led her team in goals and assists in 2009, 2010 and 2011…team leader in ground balls as a junior and senior…two-time team MVP…played for 380 lacrosse elite and led her team in goals and assists in 2010 and 2011…four-year letterwinner in basketball and captain in 2011 and 2012…selected All-Berks Division IV in 2011…three-year letterwinner in tennis and was a state finalist in 2010 and 2011…also played one season of volleyball…earned High Honors all four years…member of the Service Club.

Carlianne McCabe (Newtown Square, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame): Four-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse and soccer…served as lacrosse captain during her senior season…2011 All-Inter-AC First Team…2011 All-Main Line Second Team…2011 All-Delco Honorable Mention…2011 Academic All-American…2010 All-Main Line Honorable Mention…led team in scoring with 67 goals and was second with 101 points…2010 All-Delco Honorable Mention in soccer…Honor Roll Student.

Kristen Mignon (Skillman, N.J./Montgomery): Three-year varsity letterwinner…led her team in scoring in 2010 and 2011…Skyland Conference First Team selection in 2010 and 2011…2010 Trenton Times Second Team All-Area selection…2011 Trenton Times First Team All-Area and Courier News First Team All-Delaware Division choice.

Laura Rowan (Rose Valley, Pa./Strath Haven): Played varsity lacrosse all four years and was a three-year starter…served as captain during her senior season…helped her team to a 2009 state finalist appearance and a 2010 Central League Championship…Academic All-American…played club lacrosse for Ultimate Goal Lacrosse for three seasons…part of a 2011 Central League Championship in soccer…earned a varsity letter in cross country and indoor track…member of the National Honor Society and class cabinet…Honor Roll student.

Casey Sullivan (Fort Washington, Pa./Springside School): Served as captain during her senior year…played varsity tennis from 2009-2012…earned Academic Honor Roll status in 2009, 2010 and 2011…President of Springside’s A Cappella group.

Amelie Yeager (Wayne, Pa./Radnor): Named Most Valuable Attacker during freshman and sophomore seasons…led team in goals and assists in her first two seasons…played for Ultimate Goal Club Lacrosse from 2007-2011…member of the Honor Society and was an editor for the school newspaper.
