American Revolution Lacrosse Announce Three European Summer Tours

The American Revolution Lacrosse Club enters our third summer offering international lacrosse tours. This summer we are taking three tours in May, June, and August. Are you prepared to represent your country at international lacrosse events?

May 15-25 Manchester and Edinburgh
Compete in the Manchester 8s tournament, hunt for the Loch Ness Monster, and tour Old Trafford. Don’t forget your fancy dress for the Manchester 8s!

May 29-June 11 Austria and Italy
Participate in the Vienna Open and the Bocconi Cup, tour San Siro, and visit the Vatican. The team will travel with a bilingual tour guide in Italy.

August 3-14 London and Copenhagen
Scrimmage two London clubs and visit sets from the Harry Potter film before entering the Copenhagen Cup and exploring the Danish city. Our inaugural team won the 2011 Copenhagen Cup. Looking forward to returning to glory in 2013.

Our aim is to travel and compete with young men who want to wear the red, white and blue, experience new cultures, and help grow the game overseas.
Chris Cooper (Denison University) and Peter Tumbas (Indiana University) will be leading the teams. Rosters must be finalized by April 5th so it is paramount that you to speak with your family immediately. Current high school seniors, college athletes, and recent graduates are eligible to apply for a roster spot on our website http://www.americanrevolutionlax.com.

Manchester/Edinburgh and London/Copenhagen tours cost $4000. The Austria/Italy tour costs $4200. Your dues include airfare, housing, all breakfasts, some dinners, all attractions visited by the team, ground transportation, uniform, helmet, gloves, and a travel bag. Players are responsible for travel to New York City, our departure location, airplane bag fees, some meals, and spending money. A $2000 deposit is required to hold your roster spot followed by two equal payments.

More information regarding tour itineraries, expectations, and a packing list are on our website, http://www.americanrevolutionlax.com.

Don’t miss out on the lacrosse experience of a lifetime!

About American Revolution Lacrosse
Indiana University head coach Peter Tumbas founded the American Revolution Lacrosse Club in 2011. The first ARLC team traveled to London and Copenhagen to compete against men’s teams. In the fall of 2011, AR added two high school teams and entered the Denver Fall Team Camp and the Adrenaline Challenge. The following summer, AR added four high school teams and returned to Europe. The club will continue to sponsor high school recruiting teams competing at national events and travel to Europe to help grow the game on the international stage. Our focus is to provide the lacrosse experience of a lifetime through maximum positive energy and maximum teaching.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
