Hardshells Raise $6,000 To Fight Pancreatic Cancer



University of Maryland men’s lacrosse student-athletes, coaches, alumni and friends of the program gathered for the 4th Annual Forever Young Walk/Run for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness on October 25. The Forever Young Walk/Run is held in memory of Maria Young, mother of former Terrapin All-American Ryan Young, who battled pancreatic cancer for more than three years before succumbing to the disease on April 17, 2011. Holmes, PA – Staches and donations are growing nationwide in support of Lacrosse Mustache Madness. Thus far, over $15,000 has been raised and over 5 weeks still remaining in the fundraising compietition. LMM organizers Ken Clausen, Rebecca Vozzo and Pat Colleluori are extremely pleased with the amount of teams kicking their stache fundraising into high gear. New Faceoff Rules Have Been Approved by NCAA; Down, Set, Cry



Starting in 2015, a visible clock can be used to time the 30-second stalling segment in facilities capable of displaying the clocks. All Division I men’s lacrosse programs will be required to have the clocks displayed by the 2016 season, and Division II and Division III will be required to have visible clocks by the 2017 season. Cassese announces new-look Lehigh men’s lacrosse coaching staff



BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head men’s lacrosse coach Kevin Cassese has announced the restructuring of the Mountain Hawks’ coaching staff. Errol Wilson has been promoted to associate head coach and Will Scudder has been promoted to full-time assistant coach. In addition, Cassese has added Chad Surman to the staff as an assistant coach while Tom Cassese will remain on staff as the Director of Quality Control. These changes come after Brendan Callahan was named head coach at Dartmouth late last month after spending seven years with the Lehigh program. Read More…
