The coaching staff of the Boston Cannons spend time warming up the goalies prior to practice. Bill Daye, Jim Murphy and Steve Duffy work on loosening up the goalies and getting them primed for practice.

Head Coach Billy Daye, former UNC goalie standout, has been known to grip it ‘n rip it well over 100mph. Notice how Daye catches the ball behind his head, so he’s ready to fire right away. When you catch the ball behind your ear you are eliminating the extra motion to get your shot off. Also, note how his hands are less than 12″ apart, his arms are high, and the velocity he creates by snapping his wrists.

Hey goalies…you think you can handle these shots?
