A Young Boy with a Bucket List and an Intersection Where Hopes and Dreams Meet

The Boise State Men’s Lacrosse team received a request from a family. It was a bold request, but one the team couldn’t refuse.

As a father slowly eases into the realization that he will die due to terminal brain cancer, he gets the chance to watch his son, Tyson, play lacrosse for the first time. Watch the video below.

The Broncos made two wishes come true for the Henderson family. The event was one that will surely touch more then the people on the field that day. I am amazed by Tyson’s bravery, his mother’s openness, his father’s strength, BSU’s generosity, and so much more.

Sadly, Tyler Henderson passed away a few days after this video was made. Please read the full story and share it with friends and family.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
