Brian “Doc” Dougherty and Drew Adams Launch “Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp” for Goalies and Shooters

Philadelphia, PA – June 5, 2012 – Brian “Doc” Dougherty, 2010 Team USA goalie and Chestnut Hill College head lacrosse coach and Drew Adams, 2011 MLL Goalie of the Year, today announced a new camp just for goalies and shooters, the Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp. The Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp will take place on July 9th through the 12th at the beautiful Chestnut Hill College campus in Center Valley, PA. The camp will offer players both extended day as well as overnight housing. Click on the following link for additional Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp information.

“We designed our camp with one purpose, and one purpose only, to teach goalies how to dominate between the pipes,” said Dougherty. “Hands down, we have assembled the best staff the lacrosse world has to offer and quite possibly the best goalie camp in the world.”

The Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp is a unique four-day camp specifically designed towards goalie play and teaching the Dougherty and Adams “Philly Style” of playing between the pipes. Over the four-day camp, youth and high school players will learn cutting edge goal tending techniques to improve their level of play through drills and game scenarios in addition to seeing hundreds of shots daily from shooters such as Joey Sankey, Ray Kendrick, Adam Eddinger, Rickey and Danny Larkin to name a few. Adam Eddinger and Ray Kendrick will be working with shooters and sharing their tactics and techniques for shooting on goal. Goalies and shooters will also be videotaped throughout the camp and have the opportunity to sit down with coaches to analyze and evaluate their skills in “Film Sessions.”

“Goalies are often overlooked and rarely receive position specific training,” said Adams. “Our goal is to help players realize their true potential and exceed their own expectations.”

The Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp goalie staff also includes current and former collegiate goalie greats Niko Amato (University of Maryland), Austin Kaut (Penn State), Kevin Keenan (Penn State ’98) and Dakota Maurer (Chestnut Hill College 2013).
