Brine Promo Player Kevin Leveille Earns MLL Weekly Honor

BOSTON, Mass. – Chicago Machine attackman Kevin Leveille has been named as the Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending May 30, it has been announced by MLL officials.

Leveille earned the award after leading Chicago to a 17-14 victory over the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Sunday afternoon.


Honored as the Bud Light MVP, Leveille scored a season-high four goals and added an assist as the Machine handed the Bayhawks their first loss of the season. He scored two of his goals in the first quarter as Chicago jumped out to a 4-2 lead and never looked back.

The Machine’s leading scorer with 12 points, Leveille has tallied eight goals with four assists in helping Chicago to a 2-1 record and a share of first place in the MLL standings. He is tied for third in the league in scoring.

Leveille and the Machine will travel to Toronto on Saturday night for a 7 p.m. match-up against the defending MLL champion Nationals. It will be the second meeting of the season as Chicago earned a 16-9 victory in the season opener on May 16.
