Capital Lacrosse Invitational Features Cornell, Hopkins, Penn State, and UNC This Fall

The Capital Lacrosse Invitational is a premier college fall ball lacrosse tournament to support and promote the Mario St. George Boiardi Foundation and its mission of “empowering the next generation through academics and athletics.”

The Capital Lacrosse Invitational will be held Sunday, October 7th at the Landon School. The event will include 4 of the top Division 1 collegiate men’s lacrosse programs in the country: Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, Penn State University and the University of North Carolina. The participating teams will play a round robin format and each will compete in two or three games throughout the day.

Before the tournament begins, a select group of collegiate players will host a free youth lacrosse clinic. In addition, the participating college coaches will host a “coaches corner” clinic for local area youth coaches.

Here is more information about the Mario St. George Boiardi Foundation and their charitable efforts.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
