Hopkins and Virginia battled for the Doyle Smith Cup this past weekend. UVa won the Doyle Smith Cup the first five seasons it was awarded before losing it at Homewood Field during a 12-11 setback last season. The game is the seventh annual battle for the Doyle Smith Cup, a spoil since 2006 that goes to the regular season winner in the series. Read More…

Virginia’s Dom Starsia will make $250,000 in annual compensation thanks to a new five-year contract he surreptitiously signed in January. For this episode of the new season of Stylin’ Strings Customs we wanted to come out of the gate swinging to trump the sticks of last season like the Goalie Houndstooth/Flag & the Inside Out Clover for Jake Byrne. We had some correspondence with someone inside the UVA organization. This developed into trading emails with head coach Dom Starsia. Breakaway Lacrosse designed some solid apparel and custom equipment for the Michigan State club team. The Spartans are decked out in Nike pinnies, Gait equipment and Pro7 lids. The Spartan logo is probably one of the coolest logos in the country. Read More…

With a new staff on board for the York College Lacrosse team, the coaches decided to give the program a full gear make over. They decided to go with White CPX-R helmets (since Kelly Green is not an option for a helmet color), logo on the sides and numbers on the back. Concordia University Wisconsin is repping Gait Dakota custom gloves this Spring. The gloves are Blue, White and Orange. Concordia is a division III school in Mequon, Wisconsin. The Falcons play in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference and are entering their second year as a program. Read More…
