Lady Terps Getting Down
We don’t usually show women’s lax but LAS found this beauty of a gem featuring the University of Maryland Women’s Lacrosse team in action. Most of the clip shows the Terps working Penn State with Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” blaring. Towards the end it catches the ladies working on dodging, checking, shooting, dancing, and “belly rolling.”
Also, it’s nice to see the head coach’s kids traveling and kicking it with the team. Watch the whole flick, but lend your eyes to these particular scenes – 2:38, 2:43, 2:53, and 3:05.
Nike Lacrosse Commercial, Harrison, Powell, Hughes

North Carolina Stands Tall
As you watch UNC gain speed this season you’ll notice most, if not all, of them wearing blue bracelets on their wrists. The rubber bracelets commemorate the life of Michael Piegare, the now deceased brother of current Tar Heel Kevin Piegare. Michael, a Cold Spring Harbor native, played lacrosse at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York, and passed away 15 months ago. Kevin and his family continue to keep the memory of Michael alive with the bracelets and a website in his honor. VIDEO HERE…
