University of Maryland and ACC Reach Legal Agreement



COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland and the Atlantic Coast Conference announced today they have reached a mediated agreement that ends all litigation between both parties. Maryland has agreed that the ACC will keep the sum of $31,361,788 previously withheld in order to resolve the lawsuits, and the ACC has agreed that Maryland will have no obligation to make any other payments to the ACC. Taylor and Corbett enjoy success in Canadian indoor summer leagues



Both enjoyed success in Canadian indoor (box) lacrosse leagues this summer as they hone their games for their senior seasons at Lehigh. Taylor led the Alberta Jr A League with 80 points in 16 games, leading his Mountaineers to the Alberta Jr A Championship in their ongoing quest for the Minto Cup. Ryan Moran Named Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach At Loyola University



BALTIMORE – Ryan Moran, an assistant at the University of Maryland for the last six seasons, has been named an assistant coach at Loyola University Maryland, announced Charley Toomey, the Greyhounds’ head coach. The Long Island native comes to the Evergreen campus where he will work with the Greyhounds’ offensive unit. Moran joined the Maryland staff in September 2008 as an assistant coach, and he was the Terrapins’ associate head coach the last two years. Read More…

Nearly half of Monmouth’s MAAC Student Athletes carry 3.2 GPA or better



WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University had 167 student-athletes named to the 2013-14 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll from its 15 league sponsored sports.

To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Monmouth, in its first year in the MAAC, placed 167 student-athletes on the list, including 97 female athletes and 75 male athletes. Read More…
