One Week To Go: NCAA Tournament Projections

The NCAA playoff picture is a lot clearer. Last week there were about 10-12 teams fighting for 8 At-Large bids. This week, there are 9. However, all of that can change with conference tournaments this week. Teams like Yale, Ohio State, Penn, and even Loyola and Maryland, have to win next week and hope there are no upsets in conference tournaments. Read More…

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Nick O’Reilly and Matt White had ACC Men’s Lacrosse Tournament record-breaking performances on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough as the No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels (12-3) outlasted the Virginia Cavaliers (7-8) for the 2013 ACC title, 16-13, at Kenan Stadium. Last weekend was a special one for the fourteen members of our senior class, as we were all honored for Senior Day versus Lafayette. Lafayette, as many of you know, is our rival, and we were looking to go 4-0 against them in our careers. A goal for the lacrosse team, as well as the Lehigh Athletics Department in general, is to “Always defeat Lafayette.” We knew that although they didn’t have the best record, they were a very talented team and we would have to bring our “A” game to do so. #BostonStrong Decals To Be Worn On Harvard Helmets

Harvard will commemorate all those affected by the tragedy at the Boston Marathon with a special helmet decal which will be worn for the remainder of the season. The Harvard men’s lacrosse team will host No. 15/15 Yale Saturday, April 27 on Senior Day at Harvard Stadium with a spot in the Ivy League Tournament on the line. Face off is slated for 2 p.m.

Brendan Caputo’s Late Goal Lifts Brown Over Bryant, 8-7, For Ocean State Cup



Smithfield, R.I. – Freshman Brendan Caputo (Westbury, NY) scored on a pass from senior Alex Jones (Annapolis, MD) with 37 seconds remaining to lift Brown to an 8-7 non-league win over Bryant to capture the Ocean State Cup for the first time since 2010. Brown, who had previously beaten Providence College in an Ocean State Cup game, improves its record to 7-6 overall, while Bryant falls to 5-10 overall. Read More…
