I had the privilege to spend five months in Cape Town, South Africa. While I was there I did volunteer work at a school, Kannemeyer Primary, with kids from Kindergarten to grade 7. I was one of their Physical Training (PT) coaches, and I ran the gym class. We played lots of games every week, soccer being the one we played most. The kids in South Africa love soccer. Read More…

Reebok recently agreed to help sponsor Turkey Lacrosse by donating 150 heads as they host the 2013 Turkey Lacrosse Open during September of this year in the southern coastal city of Alanya. In the past few years, Reebok has proven to be successful at locating less well-known sports and helping them reach national prestige, as evidenced by their endorsement of CrossFit, which has evolved from a relatively unheard of sport to a nation-wide phenomenon known as “the Sport of Fitness”. BALTIMORE — US Lacrosse today announced the television schedule for Champion® Challenge, a US Lacrosse event, set to take place on Sunday, Jan. 27. The U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams will be in action against both defending NCAA champions — Loyola University (men’s) and Northwestern University (women’s) — on ESPN3 and ESPNU. All games at the eighth annual Champion® Challenge will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Both games will air live on ESPN3 and later will re-air on ESPNU.
