In August, the Marist community mourned the loss of Edward Coombs, a rising sophomore on the Men’s lacrosse team. Coombs, 19, lost his life in a car accident in his hometown of Horsham Township, Pa. Those closest to him called him Eddie and he was well-liked by everyone. As we continue to look through the menagerie of photos from the US Lacrosse Convention this passed weekend we realize how many great products were on display. The Notre Dame Men’s Lacrosse team just returned to campus to find their locker room stocked with custom Maverik ROME gloves and equipment for the 2012 season. The Irish custom ROME’s feature raised Navy Blue stitching and a Green shamrock displaying individual player numbers. Read More…

In 2009, the University at Albany “Great Danes” Men’s Lacrosse team scored an equipment deal with the innovative equipment manufacturer Maverik Lacrosse. Breakaway Sports did some custom K18 and Assault gear and it’s straight fire. These pads are available at all Breakaway stores (Denver, Boulder, Atlanta, Latham, Seattle, Bellevue) and on their new website www.breakawaylacrosse.com. The annual IMLCA Convention took place last week in Baltimore, Md at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Every year, the convention brings coaches and companies together to discuss everything from rules that need to be addressed to the latest advances in equipment and apparel for teams. Read More…
