Led by goals from six different players, the Stevenson men’s lacrosse team outscored RIT 6-1 in the fourth quarter to overcome a three-goal deficit en route to winning the title game of the 2013 NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship with a 16-14 victory Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The #14/16 Lehigh men’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one quarter and cruised to an 11-5 win over Bucknell to win its second straight Patriot League Championship on Sunday afternoon. This past weekend Hofstra wore Camo uniforms and Warrior TII helmets against UNC inspired by the Wounded Warrior Project. Duke outscored North Carolina 3-1 in the fourth quarter and junior Brendan Fowler won 17-of-23 faceoffs and picked up 13 ground balls to lead the 17th-ranked Blue Devils to an 11-8 victory over the No. 6 Tar Heels this evening in ACC men’s lacrosse action at Fetzer Field. Last Thursday was a huge day for a couple of reasons: Villanova was looming and it was Valentine’s Day. Let’s start with Valentine’s Day. There were a couple highlights for the Lehigh lacrosse team, as Kyle Stiefel set the record for most social media posts in a day regarding his girlfriend. Alan Henderson was Valentineless on Thursday, but he made up for that with his performance with the ladies on Saturday. Fortunately for myself, Alex, my high school sweetheart, was my valentine. All my buddies call her “the one that got away,” but I am working hard to make sure that is not the case. Read More…
