US Lacrosse Partnering With FHSAA on Certification for Girls’ Lacrosse Officials



BALTIMORE, Oct. 14, 2014 — US Lacrosse, the national governing body for men’s and women’s lacrosse, has reached an agreement with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) to provide the necessary education and training of women’s lacrosse officials to reach US Lacrosse certification status in time for the 2015 season. US Lacrosse is assisting in this process in response to the mandate approved last month by the FHSAA’s Board of Directors that all girls’ lacrosse officials must have US Lacrosse certification in order receive scholastic game assignments. 15 College Programs To Face-Off At Women’s Colleluori Classic On 9/27



Hempstead, NY – On Saturday, September 27th, 15 collegiate women’s lacrosse teams will meet on the playing field at Hofstra University to face-off against blood cancer in the 6th Annual Women’s Nick Colleluori Classic. The event has become an annual fall lacrosse tradition on campus hosted by the Hofstra Women’s Lacrosse team to raise funds and awareness to support the HEADstrong Foundation™.  It is ironic that the event would fall on the 27th, as it was the number that HEADstrong founder Nick Colleluori wore while playing lacrosse at Hofstra University. UAH to Add Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse in 2016



The University of Alabama in Huntsville Department of Athletics announced the addition of men’s and women’s lacrosse programs on Monday, and the teams will begin competition in the spring of 2016. Cermack named Lehigh women’s lacrosse assistant coach



Cermack enjoyed a standout career for the Blue Jays, posting 149 career points behind 98 goals and 51 assists capped off by a 59-point effort in 2014. Johns Hopkins finished 15-5 in a tremendous season that resulted in an NCAA Tournament appearance. Cermack was named an IWLCA All-American after her senior campaign. Read More…
