Hammerheads Travel Teams Join Broward Barracudas



The Broward Barracudas and the Ft. Lauderdale Hammerheads travel programs have agreed to join forces beginning with the upcoming travel season. Hammerheads founder and director, Jan Northrop, will join Pete Dunne and Shaun Bamforth as co-directors of the travel program. Brian Cost, former St. Andrews Assistant Coach and new Assistant Coach at University School, is also joining the Barracudas program and will serve as Director of Coaching. George Huguely Sentenced To 23 Years

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A former University of Virginia lacrosse player has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for the alcohol-fueled beating death of his ex-girlfriend. George W. Huguely V was sentenced Thursday in Charlottesville for the slaying of Yeardley Love, a 22-year-old suburban Baltimore woman who was found face down in her blood-soaked pillow on May 3, 2010. England Crowned Double European Champions

England after defeating Ireland 15-5 in front of 2,000 spectators in Amsterdam


Both the men’s and women’s sections of Team England went undefeated through the tournament to eclipse their soccer compatriots and both take their respective European crowns. The women’s team finished off and impressive tournament performance by beating 2008 champions Wales in the final. University of Maryland Football Uniforms, It’s a Matter of Pride

NCAA FOOTBALL: SEP 05 Miami at Maryland


Labor Day, the University of Maryland Football team unveiled their much talked about Under Armour uniforms against the Miami Hurricanes. The Terps’ full kit of uniforms include 16 new color combinations derived from Black, Red, White and Gold Under Armour pants and jerseys. The new line also includes a White Terrapin shell helmet with a Maryland flag sticker down the center and a Matte Black helmet with the same sticker. Strangely, in an awesome change of events, the Terps warmed up with their White Terrapin shell helmet, but returned to the field with a Maryland state flag helmet. Read More…
