Videos: Brothers In Arms Buried Together



Monday night, the nightly news for CBS and NBC paid tribute to true American heroes. Travis Manion and former Navy lacrosse standout Brendan Looney were roommates at the naval academy and became as close as brothers. One became a Marine stationed in Iraq, the other, a Navy Seal in Afghanistan. Both have died and were laid to rest side-by-side in Arlington’s National Cemetery. View Videos…

Video: Former Navy Lacrosse Player Dies in Helicopter Crash



Brendan Looney, a former Navy lacrosse player who lived in Silver Spring, was among nine U.S. military personnel killed in a Blackhawk helicopter crash Tuesday in southern Afghanistan. The cause was believed to be accidental. Looney a 1999 graduate of DeMatha Catholic High played football and baseball before matriculating to the Naval Academy. Keep Reading…

Irish Lacrosse to be Honored During Michigan-Notre Dame Football Game



NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Fighting Irish men’s lacrosse team will be honored on the Notre Dame Stadium field during Saturday’s Notre Dame-Michigan football game. Play for Parkinsons Lacrosse Series
