Chazz Woodson featured in New Balance video

Chazz Woodson is featured in a new trailer for New Balance’s MX841 training shoe and MF700 cleat, which are set to be released in 2010. Both shoes were designed specifically with lacrosse players in mind. Woodson, who is a member of Brine’s R&D team, has been testing out the new shoes and New Balance’s Jim Mackenzie says the attackman’s training in the shoes has been a big part of the shoes’ development.

Woodson, an attackman with the Chicago Machine, is also known as the winner of the 2008 MLL All-Star game trick shot competition. But Mackenzie said the choice to work with Woodson goes beyond his ability on the field.

“Just as important as his athleticism, though, is his passion for the game and his feelings about what it means to be a lacrosse player,” said Mackenzie. “We sat down for a chat with him and it’s clear how seriously he takes his role as an ambassador for the sport.”

Fans of New Balance and Woodson will get to see additional footage from the interview New Balance did with him early next year, along with a lot more footage from the shoot.
