Classic Gait Brothers Hidden Ball Trick, Best Lacrosse Play Ever?

Paul and Gary Gait don’t need an introduction. They are two of the best to have ever played the game. They revolutionized the sport and made it a highflying affair. In this video, the Canadian twins meet at midfield to create a smoke and mirrors play, the hidden ball trick. With their backs turned to the Navy defense in 1989, Paul smoothly retains the ball and begins to walk towards the goal while Gary casually power cradles to lure the goalie’s attention. And boom, Paul emits a laser from 30 yards away.

The above video included this description:

These two guys changed the way today’s game is played. Their creativity brought about changes to the rules by which we now play. One example of this was the Air Gait, which was disallowed shortly a handful of brilliant goals scored in this fashion, by each of the twins, as well as a few others capable enough to pull it off before it was outlawed. Here’s another example: two players are no longer allowed to stand in close proximity out of a dead ball situation, largely because of deceptive plays like this one – the “dead ball” hidden ball trick executed to perfection.
