Club Team Gear: Lax Factory

Coach Josh Funk formed Lax Factory in 2011 with the purpose of providing a premier lacrosse program for athletes in Western Maryland. Born and raised in Western Maryland, Funk went on to play at Ohio State and the Minnesota Swarm (NLL). The Lax Factory currently has club teams for U-11, 2 at U-13, U-15 and Class of 2016. They run clinics and camps throughout the year and run most of their events in Frederick County. We have the pleasure of checking out their lacrosse gear.

They wear Cascade Pro 7 helmets dressed in argyle Gorilla Wrapz in the team colorway (Green/Blue). The reversibles and shooting shirts were produced by LacrosseWear. The shoulders and inserts have the argyle pattern while the front displays cogs in a machine. View the gear below and visit Lax Factory for more information.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
