Colin Heacock Decommits From Penn State

Coach Tambroni and the Penn State Nittany Lions suffered a major recruiting loss when a Top 20 recruit had a change of heart. Colin decommitted last month and since then he has visited and been in discussions with multiple schools/coaches before finally choosing one. Colin Heacock (Boys’ Latin, 2013, Attack) has decommitted from Penn State and has now committed to play for the University of Maryland.

Currently a basketball standout in the MIAA conference-averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, Heacock will be adding a lot of size, versatility and depth to Maryland’s roster. Heacock also has great dodging ability and a lefty cannon from outside. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play middie at the next level. View a highlight reel of him below.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
