Delbarton Lacrosse Sponsors Wounded Warrior Project

Delbarton School is a private all-male Roman Catholic college preparatory school in Morristown, New Jersey, educating young men from 7th to 12th grade. Students at Delbarton (NJ) are not only a National power in lacrosse every year, but they are also very active in the community. Each year they select a different cause to support. This Spring the Delbarton lacrosse team will be sponsoring the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The Delbarton team will raise funds as well as awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.

The Green Wave will look to collect donations throughout the remaining school year at various sporting events. They have even invited 1st Lt. John Fernandez to speek March 27th. The former West Point captain, who lost both legs in 2003 in Iraq, is very active in WWP.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
