Denver Pioneers to Take Part in U19 FIL World Lacrosse Championship

DENVER – University of Denver men’s lacrosse associate head coach Matt Brown and sophomore midfielder Wes Berg (Coquitlam, B.C.) will take part in the U19 2012 FIL World Lacrosse Championship, held in Turku, Finland, as part of the Canadian National Team. Brown will serve as the team’s offensive coordinator.

The Championship gets underway from the Yläkenttä stadium this Thursday at 9 a.m. MT. Following the opening ceremony, Finland will face the Czech Republic in the opening game. The United States will face Australia on Friday at 10 a.m., while team Canada, Brown and Berg will open the Championship on Saturday at 10 a.m. EEST against the U.S.
