Detroit Mercy Lacrosse Lands 20 On 2011-12 MAAC Academic Honor Roll

EDISON, N.J. — The University of Detroit Mercy had the most members on the MAAC Lacrosse All-Academic Team back in May and once again, the Titans led the way in an academic category with 20 selections as the conference released its’ 2011-12 Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, an athlete must hold a grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members of the MAAC with athletes represented in all 24 sports that the conference sponsors.

The 20 Titans topped men’s lacrosse with Canisius (15) and Jacksonville (13) in second and third, respectively. The 20 honorees were 10 more than Detroit had last year and the most in the red, white and blue’s three years in the league.
