Duke Lacrosse Accuser Arrested in Boyfriend's Stabbing

It’s hard to feel bad for Crystal Mangum who tried to ruin three mens’ lives in 2006. It’s even harder to feel bad for her when she continues to place herself in these compromising situations. The latest situation for Crystal Mangum falls on the week after a huge decision was granted in favor of the three accused Duke lacrosse players. The accused players can sue for false arrest because of civil rights violations and obstruction of justice.

Mangum, however, has been charged again. This time for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury to her boyfriend. Her previous arrest occurred in February 2010 for attempted murder charges after a fight with her then-boyfriend. She was also accused of arson, identity theft and resisting arrest, among other charges.

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
