Easton Lacrosse Customizable Launch Head and Shafts Available Now

VAN NUYS, Calif. (Feb. 24, 2010) – Easton Lacrosse today announced the retail availability of the Launch Head, and the Stealth Scandium+ Alloy, Stealth Scandium+ Grip Alloy, Talon Legend and Talon Beast shafts. Debuted at the 2011 U.S. Lacrosse National Convention in Baltimore, the Launch Head is the first fully adjustable and customizable head in the industry, while the new shafts feature an unparalleled design combining light weights and industry-changing strength.

Professional lacrosse players Brett Queener, Michael Evans and Casey Powell consulted with Easton Lacrosse, and these new products were designed with athletes in mind. The Launch Head allows players to adjust the head angle to exactly meet their individual needs, providing free rein on fine-tuning their speed and accuracy. Driven by Easton-patented Reflex technology, the head’s piston absorbs and concentrates the energy upon contact with the ball leading to a softer, cleaner catch.

Featuring industry leading strength-to-weight ratio, the lighter and stronger Stealth shafts create sharper passes and faster shots on goal, while exclusive THT 100 aluminum alloy makes for the highest yield strength scandium allowed for a shaft.

Reengineered to be lighter and stronger than the original models, the wood composite Talon Legend and Talon Beast offer an authentic feel and explosive force that generates more speed and punishing checks.

“Coming out of the gate with these products is going to redefine the design of lacrosse gear and the game itself,” said Doug Appleton, General Manager of Easton Lacrosse. “The amount of technology that has gone into this head and these shafts has created the kind of products that lacrosse players have always dreamed about.”

The Launch Head and shafts are now available at select sporting goods stores nationwide. For a full listing of stores, visit EastonLacrosse.com.
