ESPN TV Lineup Set for Champion Challenge

BALTIMORE — US Lacrosse today announced the television schedule for Champion® Challenge, a US Lacrosse event, set to take place on Sunday, Jan. 27. The U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams will be in action against both defending NCAA champions — Loyola University (men’s) and Northwestern University (women’s) — on ESPN3 and ESPNU.

All games at the eighth annual Champion® Challenge will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Both games will air live on ESPN3 and later will re-air on ESPNU. The broadcast schedule is as follows:

U.S. Women’s National Team vs. Northwestern University
Sunday, Jan. 27 – 11 a.m. ET (ESPN3)
Monday, Jan. 28 – 12 a.m. ET (ESPNU)*
Monday, Jan. 28 – 2:30 p.m. ET (ESPNU)*

U.S. Men’s National Team vs. Loyola University
Sunday, Jan 27 – 1:30 p.m. ET (ESPN3)
Sunday, Jan. 27 – 10 p.m. ET (ESPNU)*
Monday, Jan. 28 – 1 p.m. ET (ESPNU)*

* Game to be re-aired on ESPNU following live ESPN3 broadcast as noted

Also participating in the Jan. 25-27 event will be the English and Haudenosaunee women’s national teams, University of Notre Dame men’s team, Syracuse University women’s team, Jacksonville University men’s team, Rollins College women’s team and Stetson University women’s team.

In addition to playing, the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams will host instructional clinics for youth and high school players in grades 1-12 Saturday, Jan. 26. The U.S. men’s and women’s national team coaching staffs also will offer clinics for local coaches to learn “The Team USA Way.”
