ESPNU Lacrosse Fan Fest Coming To Warrior Classic

ESPNU is the home of collegiate lacrosse. In 2012, the 24-hour college sports network will feature 40 regular-season matchups, 37 men’s and three women’s games – including the crowning of six conference champions on ESPNU and ESPN3.

The 2012 ESPNU Lacrosse Fan Fest features a competition to determine the best lacrosse “trickster” in Charlotte. The winner of the challenge receives a lacrosse equipment upgrade courtesy of Warrior, ESPNU prizes and a sideline pass for the North Carolina vs. Hofstra game (1:30 p.m. ET). Competitors will perform in front of a live audience inside the ESPNU L-A-X cage (photo reference). Meanwhile, the ESPNU Mini Bus will be onsite with a live DJ performance and ESPNU prizes for spectators.

ESPNU Mini Bus
A fully-customized mini bus that includes a DJ booth, as well as a college-themed body and face painting station at which fans can choose their favorite team’s colors to display their school spirit during the games.

Game of “L-A-X”
The game of “L-A-X” is played similar to the basketball game of H-O-R-S-E. The winner receives an ESPNU lacrosse prize package provided by Warrior, and presented at halftime during one of the day’s games.

For 2012, the third annual ESPNU Warrior Classic makes its first appearance in Charlotte, N.C.. Ten-time national champion, Syracuse, faces off against BIG EAST rival Rutgers at 11 a.m. Following the conclusion of the game, at 1:30 p.m., ESPNU Warrior Classic veteran Hofstra takes on a local favorite and lacrosse powerhouse North Carolina.
