This Summer Fields Of Growth (FTL) visited Uganda to teach and spread the game of lacrosse. Fields of Growth works with the close-knit lacrosse community throughout the world to build relationships with some of the top athletes with some of the most vulnerable children in the world. Through this relationship the Uganda Lacrosse Union was created through Makerere Business School, one of the top schools in East Africa.
These volunteers, which included Kevin Dugan and Johnny Christmas, taught the students basic skills such as catching and passing. Eventually, FTL organized one of the first official lacrosse games on Ugandan soil. This video highlights the trip. Enjoy!
